Cumberland ranked number 1 in inflation?

From MSNBC. It has been reported that Cumberland,Maryland is ranked number 1 yes number 1 for inflation. It goes to say that Although Cumberland has one of the lowest median incomes in the country, it has experienced significant growth in recent years. Between 2009 and 2010, the metro area’s Population: has increased by approximately 3.5 percent. Over this same period, both home vacancy and unemployment decreased. But how did they determine it was the highest inflation. Here are the facts by MSNBC.
  • 2010 inflation: 5.3 percent

  • 2010 population: 103,239 (up 3.51 percent)

  • 2010 median income: $34,847 (down 3.9 percent)

  • 2010 unemployment: 8.7 percent (down 1.1 percent)

  • 2010 home vacancy: 13.6 percent (down 3 percent)

  •  3 out of 4 is bad.
